Nothing of the sort: A device for well under a hundred Euros does what it is: It does BluRays and makes even with DVD's and CD's no stress; even the analog sound output via RCA is unacceptable, so the 3400 is not too high expectations is quite usable as a stand-alone CD players. Most surprised me on the short loading times: I did not expect.
Two small caveats I want denoch call, but no penalty is worth it to me: It sees itself via HDMI not with all televisions (but may also be on TV) and I see - sorry - even with a full HD Toshiba no differences in the image quality between a BluRay and an upscaled DVD. If it does not now exist titles that are published exclusively on BluRay, me, the idea would not come to buy a player.
I'm curious how long it will last.
