I have the LX 100 bought me for travel and private recordings ...
My first experiences:
Criticism at first, then the positives:
- The menu could be better structured not very logical but hopefully corrected with a firmware update. some points are not self-explanatory.
(=> Eg for the function "direct focus area" - which is very convenient - you can move through the dial-cross the focal point directly, but you can no longer use "direct" the remaining menu items - here was possibly a key combination with a the FN key sense. Or at 4K Photo function or mute, these activated off in pure picture mode, the flash.)
This would be only two small things that should be behebar with a firmware update.)
- No ND filter (I bought as an accessory, better than the built-in ND filter, but unwieldy)
- No built-in flash (comes as an accessory with de camera / small Auftsteckblitz, stronger, not adjustable in angle)
- Unfortunately, dirt / dust-prone, after 3 weeks of vacation in Chile in normal conditions (ie no sand storm etc.) large dust spot is visible from aperture 4 and smaller. Annoying, but to eliminate in Photoshop.
o hotshoe available
o no touch screen (nice gimmick, in which the Panasonic menu it would have been helpful)
o no audio input (for me secondary, because I'm working with an external audio recorder and video set to music only on average)
o resolution effectively only about 13 megapixels
o approximately 3.1 x Zoom (perfectly adequate for landscapes and portraits in between, for safaris rather less)
+ Akulaufzeit (better than the Canon, similar to Sony)
+ 4k video / photos with 8 megapixels from the video extractable
+ Image quality to ISO 1600 very well gebrauchbar / to 3200 useful in processing (Noise Reduction) of RAW photos
+ Image quality is "felt" better than an EOS600D with Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 of (camera my wife); ie with smaller / cheaper entry APS-C DSLRs you can keep quite, - but not with a 5D3 or the equivalent Nikon.
+ Viewfinder - for a compact super
+ Speed
+ Operating concept with manual dials fun
+ Fast aperture
+ Fits comfortably in my hands / good size
On the whole I would give the camera 4.5 of 5 stars.
