This is the most beautiful edition of Alice stories by Lewis Carroll. There is the original English text of both stories (Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass), to the original drawings of Tenniell. In addition, the large format book with nice strong cover and an equally stunning cover. The sides are firm and slightly shiny. The text is printed so that one half of the page is taken from the text and the other half of the page for annotation is enabled, the ergaengzen the text and partly as exciting and interesting as the text itself. Especially for us modern people we (the Victorian) might no longer feel Carroll era so familiar, these comments are gold (annotation) value. Only now understood to be some allusion or subtlety. I found the comments as a door to a much wider perspective. The beautiful print that gorgeous presentation, wonderful Alice story that notes - this is all worked together completed a ansehlichen book. Worth reading.
