Indeed, depending on their configuration, the detection varies. Therefore, your key ring, outdoors, will not ring unless a dozen meters or more. Indoors, if you change your room with your phone, but you do not take the Treasure tag, it rings every time with (less than 5 meters between two pieces).
Regarding ringtones, your phone rings and vibrates (if you wish). The key chain ring only. This ring is quite small when you provoke through your phone. By cons, if you walk away and no longer detects your phone, key ring sounds much louder.
Finally, the system of "location" of your treasure tag is not a gps. The map will show only the location (approximate) where your phone and key ring have ceased to be connected.
In conclusion, Nokia, has invented nothing compared to other devices that exist on the market or Android IOS. This treasure tag is nice, the design is not bad, but the detection quality was a bit disappointed. I do not regret my purchase, but it's still a little gadget that is not revolutionary.
