Then let's start:
----------------- --------------- GRAPHICS
I do not know what the department has in the PS, but the graphics are well worth seeing. Just as shown in the pictures. The design of the levels is extremely successful. Again and again one discovers small things that are probably no longer respected in today's games. The level of detail is truly breathtaking. Then there are the textures that are very well done. I do not think that something is muddy. And as for the screens: The graphics on it are somewhat pixelated but what it is that the devices are modeled on the 70. So willed.
Light and shadow are very well prepared, nothing is too dark or too bright. The only drawback is that the main character, so the own player, casts no own shadow. But that's bearable. On the Xbox the game runs throughout liquid. Only I've discovered a place where it jerked slightly, as there are a lot of effects as the same time. Maybe that will be optimized.
The characters are all modeled nice and the animations are very fluid. The facial animations are a bit stiff, but you can not have everything. While it would be nice if you would like animations in LA Noir, but they are still managed.
All in all, the graphics and the design really convincing. There are always nice scary moments.
------------ ---------------- SOUND
The sound is impeccable. The music was specially re-recorded, what you can hear. In Dolby everything looks very good. The Syncronsprecher do their job very well. The voice is so far always top. Not like in Aliens: CM. Or let's put it that way. There is no Waidmannsheil. Thank God.
Depending on the game situation, the music adapts and repeatedly generated as a pounding thriller. When you play on hard, then remains a truly are the heart. The ambient sounds are very well done. So the old computer (like in the movie the same sound), the steps, or if you are in a ventilation shaft. Everywhere there rumbles or crashes it. From far away you can hear noises and you can never tell if it will catch one or not.
The sound is excellent (I recommend a good Dolby system: o)
------------- -------------- STORY
Now the story is good, but not the blockbuster par excellence. In the foreground is the gameplay. But if you additionally read all emails in the computers, you learn a lot about the history. Personally, I like that and am happy here. But I think in any case his own subjective opinion.
I also want to give anything away because I would otherwise spoilers and for that I have not been through the game. So forgive me ^^ here
----------- -------------------- GAMEPLAY
As you might expect, I did myself a little difficult because I'm usually only used to EGO games to play with the keyboard and mouse. On the XBox One this is my first. But after some time the controller goes quite well out of hand. I do not find them to nest.
The run, crawl and look around the corner is functioning properly and also the AI behaves quite well. In order not accurate to say too well. A time not paying attention and that's it. So either die or hide by luck somewhere. Unless the alien sees you. So here a little trial and error is announced. But if the alien you is too hard, then you should perhaps also of high or medium play. Otherwise, all degenerate into pure frustration.
I can not say much anyway. The gameplay behaves so far as I expected. Just curious and without interruptions. Shooting or crafting objects working properly. BUT: I do not shoot (Do not shoot).
For this, the motion tracker responds perfectly. Every time an enemy it moves very well presented and the quicker the thing beeps, the closer is the enemy. Then it's quickly hide.
CONCLUSION ------------ --------------------
So far, Alien has: Insulation done everything right. Well, I'm not yet, but as far as I can tell, it gets better and meaner (the alien is just behind me). After the disaster of Aliens: CM I was curious if Creative Assembly manages to make a real Alien game. And they did.
Here is true as I think all graphics, sound, gameplay and especially the alien. It just looks great.
From me there is a recommendation. And the title has deserved the full price. As soon as I'm through and the two DLC's have tested, I will update my review.
So to all who want to shudder. I hear no screaming space you; but the Kinect already (just waits)
------------ ----------------- UPDATE
So now even a small update. Since I am now a little further I already got to know the Alien. Funnily enough, it behaves actually unpredictable. A complete level long, it haunted me only on the ceiling. So shouted noise. When I called the transit, it suddenly stood on the stairs and out of the mouse. At repeated repeat, it did not. But instead from the next level.
So you can never really feel safe. And I think it is not unfair, because it is simply like a real fighter. But if one is slow and well take care, then you can handle it well. At least when it moves, because the Motion Tracker does not work when it is. So that does not recognize it then yes; They say MotionTracker not Stay Transportation Tracker ^^
I was pleasantly surprised. The tension works very well with me, even if I had to think quite a few times on it. But I have innately persecution fears in games when persecuted me something. Many know the drill.
