Now for Fotopro C5i. As already described by some reviewers before me makes this tripod a surprisingly high-quality impression. Fotopro delivers here a complete set incl. Ball head monopod option, bag and accessories. I have ordered the Titanium color variant conveys a very attractive technical look through the metal-black contrast. The version offered is the way sold under the "brand name" Rollei, however, is apparently a generic tripod product from the Far East, which has been sold by other vendors such as identical Bilora (Twister Pro). Stands of other "money provider" apparently also use components and functionalities of this stand version (in more or less modified form). But this is certainly observable in the current price range and standard in other products such as flash units. Interesting in this context is the C5i the good price
Money, this is currently offered at a price of about 140EUR. It is virtually identical to the Bilora Twister Pro, which was sold much more expensive - the current Bilora comparable successor "Colorlux" costs the back more than 220 EUR.
The C5i achieved by the folding properties of the legs around the central extract around a very compact transport of about 40cm incl. Head. The weight, however, is not completely lightweight designate with 1700g, Allerding quite strapped on portable photo backpack. The included, incidentally, well-made bag I use just for storage or moving over short distances, there does not really matter in my view a separate shoulder bag for Tripod Camera bag in addition to meaning.
As I said, the mechanics of the stand has been clearly convinced me. Nothing rattles, shakes or has too much play. The leg Excerpts run clean and are securely fixed by moderate tightening of the rotary latches. I prefer here clearly, this form of Segmentarretierung with turntables compared to the folding lever version from other manufacturers. The legs offer at full extension in my opinion sufficient stability even with middle SLR. The three pre-defined catch steps enable both ground-level and high positions, together with the extendable and divisible central column a very good flexibility is ensured. The closures also show no traces of grease. Unfortunately, however, only one tripod leg with a fixed foam rubber sheath is provided, in addition, the tripod leg is equipped with the one-leg option with a removable, fixed by Velcro fasteners textile handle. Here the manufacturer could easily fit all three legs can be provided with a longer foam rubber protection, sees firstly of clever and makes handling especially in cold temperatures more pleasant. In Fahrradhandel gibts corresponding handlebar grip foam'm going here well this even later still raise. The flexible fabric handle makes however when using the monopod as handle protection sense again, so do not throw away ;-). The leaning can be screwed together fairly quickly and provides a comfortable height for people with 1,90m body height - the stand also works as a tripod good at this height, without having to bend sharply. The set also has a belt quiver, which the monopod can easily prop - good for longer power-saving photo sessions :-). The end pieces of Stativbeinde are provided with simple hard rubber caps, spikes or optional rubber-spike combo solution (as in Cullmann Nanomax 260 !!!) would be a welcome Nice-to-have been, of course, goes without.
A few more words to the supplied ball head. This is expected to be no pro version, however, to use for work quite ambitious. There is a Pano function with scale and separate locking knob. Separate locking device for ball / friction and panoramic axis are the way essential, otherwise it is not possible meaningful work. In the cheap ball heads as in Nanomax 260 an absolute no-go. The ball setting runs very clean, no scratching, and especially no visible leakage of grease before. There is only one parking / Friktionsregler, it runs very smoothly and also packs neatly in middle SLR loads. The term "bomb-proof" But I would not want to use, the stability of course you have to see overall relation ;-). The integrated quick-change system (Arca-Swiss compatible) works as it should, but the integrated lateral dragonflies are not really to use with my tripod - the angle tolerances are here to dirty, the camera plate snaps not really plan in the holder, at least equivalent to that of the Bracket set orientation is not exactly the real alignment using an external level / internal camera Nivelierung. Overall, however, the handling of the head makes a lot of fun, both with small cam and with SLR. A Sirui G-10X ball head would be an option, for example, up a good upgrade option if the claims should be somewhat higher.
In summary, I can say that this stand up to my expectations, has partially exceeded and a common future "Teamwork" nothing stands in the way ;-). The few criticisms are bearable in view of the total offered power and flexibility, especially with respect to the comparatively low price. I highly recommend this C5i as universal travel tripod for ambitious amateur photographers.
