The commissioning was hassle, the latest software version was already playing and I had to adjust anything (depends on me in the local loops of a multi-switch). After installing, the solid metal casing falls to positive.
As the first real SAT> IP Client I have a Panasonic TV TX24ASW504 - put it in TV mode. Switch immediately found, the first channel scan the TV did not bring strangely all the channels that I had expected (ZDF HD channels were missing completely or I, I have not found), after the second scan but everything was ok. Just place this TV after turning often (mostly) the Converter not. I leave then (in TV) check on the network setup. And after a few minutes everything goes problemos. Seems to me a software problem in the Panasonic to be. The TV is the way the DLNA server in Triax not, however, shows such as my NAS.
Update 23/11/2014: For the TV, there is now an update. And since the SAT is found> IP converter easily. Finally back SAT-TV without a separate box.
My second test object, the DVB Viewer Lite for Windows works for something Frickelei very good. When should there be here with you problems once the Readme about codecs in the installation directory. Without these signs have been with me only HD channels work and I'm almost desperate. However, no fault of the Triax.
DLNA Server in Triax Converter I tested with my WD TV Live box. A very cost-effective solution but works. Does not really fun here is the channel change. Sometimes I ask myself "yes comes as something else", but it has always worked.
Summary: SAT> IP is now about two years old and the manufacturers have certainly tune. After my previous impression of Triax is but a solid base. On energy consumption but should still be used.
Update 12/20/2014: I have the Triax sent back today, he has in my opinion a defect. After few hours he is in the network no longer be recognized as SAT> IP Server. After the above update from 23.11.2014 has also shown that after some time the DLNA function "disappears", he is no longer recognized as a DLNA server in continuous operation. This I did not immediately noticed because I turn on the Triax on a timer. And the first few hours everything works. Then it comes to the effect described.
I have now the Inverto SAT> IP server concerned and in which everything works as I would expect (review in a few weeks there). And now it is subjective: the image quality of the Inverto comes to me "crisp", "full" before.
Because of the defect, I prefer from two stars, one for the image quality. Stay two stars: after 3 - find 10 minutes, the SAT> IP clients in the Panasonic TVs Converter and then you can watch TV normally. But DVB-Logic as my recorder is not so patient: after a few hours Converter mode is DVB-Logic Converter no longer. Recordings are no longer possible and the Converter is worthless.
Even something subjective: the Inverto is a standalone unit, the Triax has on the wall. Standing model is more practical for me. However, this is neutral.
