First of all, Rise Against is one of my favorite bands and I have each of their albums. I regret to see that the band was unable to repeat their brilliant predecessors works therefore after repeated Through listening to the new album "Appeal to Reason". Thus, Rise Against presented in 2001 for the first time with its still relatively raw-sounding debut "The Unraveling" on the CD market. Raw pejorative sound in any way in this regard, because this "raw" defined my opinion Other unique style of the band. With "Revolutions per Minute", "Siren Song of the Counter Culture" and the absolute in my eyes highlight "The Sufferer & The Witness" followed the debut album very successful works on which are found across the board barely sagging or weak points. On the contrary, it can be found on each disk songs that I think this band define. "Torches", "Like the Angel" (revolutions per minute), "Paper Wings" "Give it all" (Siren song ...) and "Injection" "Prayer of the refugee" "Survive" (The Sufferer & The Witness ), to name just a few. Here can be found on the new record hardly a song, which one of these milestones to be, has the potential. At most "Kotov Syndrome" and "Savior" show such approaches, while the rest of the board, except move the very successful Akkustiksong "Hero of War", a relatively mediocre level Rise Against. The songs are not bad but there are a few outliers upwards. The aforementioned "Hero of War" is a welcome change with good melody and profound text. That a Akkustiksong the culmination of a Rise Against album, is indicative of the lack of highlights of the new album. Overall, the drive for genuine Rise Against fans is recommended, and if it's just to complete the collection, while Rise Against newcomers probably the earlier albums are put to the heart.
