So I searched through Amazon by luminous arguments against the notorious darkness this time of year and found these lamps. The previous reviews certified good quality, on the way, I have to complain about too little, and I found the idea with a lot of different colors in the bulb, and it also can not control from the couch, too tempting. So I ordered two pieces.
The lamps themselves look clean processed from a few remnants of the production on the base were present on a lamp, but did not interfere with the very positive overall impression. What I liked, however, been less Been vorhande scratches on one of the remote controls. The second was not entirely free of flaws, but I'm not a perfectionist. The remotes seem to have been generally produced very favorable, to say optimistic express. But no need to cry, as long as they do what they should.
The first impression of the lamps in operation was: Wow.
Simply: Wow. Followed by wild pressing the different buttons on the remote control at random. And a grin on his face.
The colors are beautiful intense, the number of directly selectable colors OK, but not outstanding. I would want above all more differences, especially the last two from the green column hardly differ. The automatic color change is nice to look at; not too fast and not too slow to change the lamps through all colors of the rainbow. Completely in sync they do not work here, after a few minutes is the One a bit more than the other. This follows after a longer duration but also an interesting play of colors.
The lamps are indeed warm, but not so hot by far, like a light bulb with wire, even ESL be hot. Apart from the fact that children's hands anyway not include in the vicinity of equipment, which are supplied with 230V, they would be in the case where the lamps are used as reading lamp by the bed or at a desk using, do not burn your fingers. The milky glass dome is in the middle not even lukewarm and even the silver cooling element is far from being able to set anything on fire.
The remote control of a lamp also works with the other and vice versa. The range is okay, 4 meters I could also very shallow angle almost always be bridged easily. Here, however, I noticed that the lamps themselves are apparently less sensitive if they are obscured on the five-level dimming. Could I made good 4 meters the lamp even darker turn, brightening worked only after I had approached me to less than 2 meters. Occasionally, the lights also reacted not to the input, in this case, there is still need for improvement.
The uh ... like calling it the manufacturers but the same ... oh yes, the "manual" should be revised slightly. A single, the total delivery beige blank sheet of paper in A4 format, printed with a few brief technical data, an image of the remote control and designation of the existing buttons, and a symbolized instructions for battery replacement is, the lucky owners explain the operation. Well, much more is needed in such a lamp actually, you can not have much, so bravely try all buttons times and learn myself break anything.
But I would like to know from the package insert, as the "Save" function to "save the desired color" (Quote: leaflet) is intended, like this: Since you can not choose all colors, such as pink, right, can the stop automatic color changes with the Save button quasi when the lamp has reached a color that you want to have. "Saved" but is not there. The next time you print on any button the color is gone again and the mode button switches only by the already selectable colors plus white.
And where I'm writing from White: For me personally, the "white" way too warm. It is easy in one color, as they are known by a bright rosé wine or the color "peach" (see Avatar me). Especially bright the lights are not in spite of its 5W just what the hue can be nasty (or even cozier, if he pleases). In addition, it seems to me that the individual RGB colors are almost as bright in its intensity, like all together in white mode. For the party room of the upper middle class, the brightness is, however, perfectly adequate, there is no one wants anyway to bright light and the possibilities of color variations are just perfect for it.
I will test the lamps for the weekend yet ... but I do not like it used to the warm white.
Finally, a brief summary:
+ Strong and intense red, green and blue
+ Beautiful color changing mode
+ Each selectable color is dimmable by remote control (not per dimmer switch!)
+ Remembers even after using a switch last color (except color changing mode!)
+ Lamps can be switched separately (if they are far enough apart so that the IR remote control only one cone achieved) or together (if the IR-cone captures multiple lamps)
+ Temperature stays low
+ Looks solid from, well finished
o Remote has quirks and scratches
o white point at 2750K is a matter of taste: I clearly too warm
o "manual" is more of a leaflet
o "Save" function is actually a "stop" function for the color changes and not permanent (after turning it off-white mode)
- For 5Watt in white mode at dark, particularly in relation to the intensity of each LED
- Sensor sensitivity apparently reduced when the lights were dimmed by FB
Since I use these lamps only for a few hours, I can not write logically to longevity. That reminds me of the white point absolutely do not like, I'll maybe never. A consumption measurement but I will still do the day.
// Addendum: The consumption measurement I can not provide full unfortunately because my ammeter until 4W measures that reaches the lamp with white. According to enclosed data sheet it should be 5.5W.
As the lights go back today, I will also be able to contribute anything to the switching cycles resistance or longevity. The next test for the lamps are 9W RGB LED lamps sebson.
In addition, I have created a short video with the color changing mode. The picture may be a little dark over, but that is due to the camera. The colors match reasonably, except for Cyan, here also weakens my camera.
