Solider printer, confusing software

Have the printer now has 2 weeks and "hunted by" so a few meters endless etiquette.
The printer operates quietly and quickly. The cutting edge of the cutting unit is clean. The image is sharp.
Internet brands of the post can be super print it. The supported Brother labels but only one brand, because for each brand of the Internet brand website a new print page is created.
At first I was disappointed because DHL parcel stamps / transit documents can not be printed without further because the Java applet prints on paket.de only A4. It is there not a paper size can be fixed. Nevertheless, in order to print parcel labels, I use a little detour. I print / save the A4 parcel with a simple PDF Creator / printer (eg pdf24) as .jpg.
For this image I'm working on me then fix my own parcel with the Brother P-touch Editor for 62mm endless label itself. The address field along the two barcodes cross, finished. The whole is then so 23cm long. Those who value the deposit receipt, tinkers to halt even pure.
This procedure is of course not suitable if you have to print multiple shipping documents daily. For an occasional ebay package or Christmas present (perhaps even with pattern) is worth the small effort.
Too bad that does not support DHL parcel labels on such label printers. The packing station can nevertheless also.

With the installation (Win7 64bit) I had no problems. The P-touch software, however, does not seem out of this century. It is decorated very confusing. Me however does not bother the. The most current version you have to download from the Brother website. For this you need the serial number of his printer. (Is on the bottom). The software includes a variety of ready-made labels. Templates for signs, warning signs, nameplates register labels, etc.

Especially the continuous label is universally applicable. Have already entire folders back and a 1m long banners printed.
Unfortunately I do not have long-term experience with Brother Thermal transfer labels / printers. I just hope all labels are readable even after a year. Many receipts from trade holds not even until the next tax return.

For me the printer via USB depends on a Synology NAS. Of all the computers in the network can be reached easily. The Brother Driver installation support the QL-560 as a network printer.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this printer to date.
Despite the old-fashioned software I forgive 5 stars because the printer has just convinced me.
