... To produce still good albums. Just as it is with Slayer. Since "Christ Illusion" followed the band back to the style of the early days. This means that they already take account of their time during the 90's and beginning of the new millennium, but also place a strong emphasis in their old age. Great new features, there is hardly any case, not on this album. Boredom reigns but by no means. Finally, the four know still neat to thrash. They prove to coincide with the opening track "World Painted Blood" (which is not even the strongest song on the album) and increase with each subsequent song. Only with "Beauty Through Order" the pace is first throttled to make it one of the most disturbing and most interesting Slayer songs. From the half of the song, the speed will always be increased further and an awesome riff joins ans next. Until then, the highlight of the plate, but of course not the only one. Because as many hammer riffs contains "Hate Worldwide", the midtempo Hammer "Human Strain" and "Psychopathy Red". "Playing with Dolls" is very experimental for Slayer conditions, it begins with a chant and guitar is technically very effect heavy. Precisely for this reason one of the best because the most unusual songs on this album. "Not of this God" closes the album with a riff and from very gelunger drum work. I think World Painted Blood is not as good as Christ Illusion, I find it even better! Dave Lombardo said that the band has worked so well together on this album than ever before in their career and I think you can hear that. World Painted Blood, I do not want to compare with Reign In Blood or Seasons in the Abyss (where such comparisons are absolutely useless anyway), but I think 5 star deserves the plate.
