Some Great Reward 'The beginning of a great album band

People Are People - was the first song of Depeche Mode, I heard on the radio, and even then did not go to me as a teenager for a long time out of your head. In record store I noticed then a little later, to my surprise found that the album - Some Great Reward - already was the fourth release of Depeche Mode. So I bought not only the album, but I started simultaneously, to get interested in this band, and borrowed from the local library - Construction Time Again and Speak and Spell - out. On these albums are many good pieces (singles) were also included, but saw the albums as a whole, were not as strong and balanced, as the 9 songs on far - Some Great Reward.

So then on I had connected with these ingenious samples (Blasphemous Rumours) and their great melodies deeply captivated this suspenseful, intriguing, modern and above all timeless pop sounds. The Depeche fever had gripped me mid-eighties, and not really let go of me until today.

Depeche Mode said goodbye with - Some Great Reward - from a pure single-hit boy band, towards a music band, and took off immediately rather great importance to produce excellent albums, and from this couple out one or the other title than Single instead of placing like the first three albums, hit singles around the other songs. While this has had on the one hand the consequence that - People Are People - has remained her biggest hit single to date, but then all new albums after - Some Great Reward - always secured a place on the first two chart places, and thereby also repeatedly with gold and platinum were awarded.
