At least when I read some reviews here, I find that to be so. I forgive 5 stars because I feel the unit to be very quiet. In 3 to 3.5 meters distance I hear only a (very) quiet, consistent sound. Absolutely no comparison with my 2011 player. Finally, I can say: rest in the living room! The menu is, as usual, by Panasonic, fast and self-explanatory. He has not any disc's whether Blu-ray or DVD, played without problems and is not even crashed or made any other "bitches".
