An approximately 600 gram heavy remote control car with no visible antenna Fernbedinung. Approximately 25 cm long, the wheels are large and positioned so that one does not know which way is up or down. One is dark since that other orange. Weight and speed are so great that the car is only partly suitable for indoor - or there simply is nothing around that could be broken!
Remote
With a clear view in our 15m range for the remote control. A lever for right / left, for a fast / slow. The slowest speed is quite fast, "delicate" Drive does not work out. The Left / right trim (calibration that to steer the car without straight runs) is set to the vehicle, not on the remote control. The Fernbedinung needs 3 AA batteries and can withstand even 1.2V batteries. Batteries are included. The battery compartment is screwed.
The remote control has 4 memories for "Stunds", which are a maximum of 4 consecutive commands. The "play button" must be pressed permanently during playback of stored "Stunds" must.
The Vehicle
Is robust, you can drive into a wall without that the vehicle is damaged at full speed. The wheels are in front and springs generally from the collision. The plastic body is not unbreakable. A collision with a wall corner to the Chassi I do not want to try better.
Also in the vehicle the battery by unscrewing the cap inserted. Here you have the same loosen two screws. You need a standard screwdriver, typical "bits" are too thick.
Acceleration is really good, the speed of the control servos (left / right) but I do not like. It takes a bit until the wheels turn right. Until then the car can be very far down at high speed.
The Battery - the main shortcoming:
For the battery there is a thick point deduction. The battery is a nickel-metal Hydrite Acku with 9.6V and 1000mAH. It is not to overlook the fact that this is about 8 "normal" 1.2V batteries "AA" size, which are soldered together in a pack. For "AA" Ackus 1000mAH is already extremely low. The Acku can not be loaded in the vehicle, but must be removed (screw) will be loaded and a power adapter. Insofar as recognizable to me, it involves a "primitive charger" without special charging control. The description says that the charger be disconnected from Acku after 5 hours, must therefore it seems no overcharge protection to be present. The Acku / charger is fast charging. It takes 4 hours until the Acku is full (which is already extremely weak at 1000mAH).
The battery is therefore certainly one of the weak points of the car. When it too long on the charger can (overcharging) and uses the vehicle until there is no "peep" more power (deep discharge) can be after a few charging cycles possibly lose his pleasure. I think that is only partially suitable for children.
Conclusion:
The car is great fun, but you can clearly see that Acku / servos (left / right control) was significantly gespaart. With prolonged use of a Zweitacku and a professional charger certainly makes sense. For inside there is nothing but there is a secure basement.
And respect for giving. After unpacking only must the Ackus load (4 hours)
