Somehow a strange album!

Somehow a strange album!

The Endless River (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Hello everybody!

I too would very much like to write a few lines about the new album from Pink Floyd!

I am a huge music fan and have now with vinyl records and CDs at the 1500 different music albums at home. Among other things, of course, a few albums by Pink Floyd.

When I then heard about the final album of Pink Floyd, I thought to myself, "Oh great," because I lay me directly the larger version of the album, which had cost me about 27 euros, after all proud. However, I must say that I the amount (after the first impressions) may be better for a good cause should donate. Because somehow I can not do much with this album, if I compare it with albums such as "The Wall" or "the dark side of the moon".

Somehow fits in this album anything together. Much unfinished piecemeal without climax and finale. It happens one as if consist predominantly of music snippets album. After several (partly already a forced) listening to the album I would, however, now say the song "It's What We Do" is sensational and the two songs "Autumn 68" and "Surfacing" can also listen very well - no longer, however! The other 15 songs (or rather mainly music snippets) are now not bad, but in no way comparable with the previous albums.

When I then read later that this album should be mostly unpublished revised old material well, to me everything was clear! Hence the many unfinished music snippets. I do not know what I would have done if I had known that before. I think I would have liked, so alone because it is "Pink Floyd", that album bought anyway, like many others here certainly. Now let's face it: "Who informed when a legend like" Pink Floyd "previously first in many reports as to whether the album may be what?" - Surely the least! Man but forms always happy even his mind, so do I!

As for the graphical presentation of the album, so it is certainly one final album worthy. Regarding the songs I can sum up by saying just one more time that the album (if you in a peaceful situation sounds with the lights switched off to relax, unwind or relax) is not the worst safely. That's why I forgive this album also 2 stars and not 1 star, as at the beginning. But comparing it with the previous works of Pink Floyd, I'm a bit disappointed.

I find it somehow very, very sad that a legend like "Pink Floyd", which has published many grandiose albums, on this way by offering well mostly unfinished already screened material as the final album of the big stage adopted. Too bad Pink Floyd - for me you have definitely written (up to this album) music history that I will not forget - but unfortunately only up to this album! Because a single good song, in which case the track "It's What We Do", makes far from being a good album!

One thing is certain music taste and this review
is simply just my personal opinion!
