I must say that my album has surprised many with mixed feelings. First of all, yes, it is different than what they have done so far musically. And that has but also first left me quite disillusioned. After first listening to the album I really thought: that's it now?!? There were some lines are out the razor and several tunes that have appealed to me, but at the first hearing the nuances were not as strong audible differences too little. But then I got the album again heard and read texts. Heard over and over again. And each time the plate was better. More and more I find that special something in every song, trying to understand, from what situation out there was written, see myself in the questions and the feelings conveyed. And so the whole package is once again just great. It is probably not my dearest Album of the five Californian musicians, but it must indeed not at all. To me they have really implemented well what to address to create a new, different feeling nervous. And after a very militant "Hello Hurricane" and the rather doubting, struggling with itself "Vice Verses" is this energetic "fading West" the album that picks me in my questions and takes me to the sea, I ascribes freedom and perspective, tells me that life is worth living and that we should not just sit quietly (Let It Out), but that our opinion counts (Say It Like You Mean It) and that we can make a difference (The World You Want).
And finally the treat: the latest after the film to album I was totally thrilled. Because the film proposes for all the songs bridges to show what they want to say, creates scenes of songs that keep coming back while listening to the head and tells the story of five. For me so valuable musicians, because they are real, because it does not go to them to the hype but about people zuzusingen hoping to encourage them and to say "You're not alone and it's good that you're here."
