The LEDON 10W warm white E27 is the second LED for backlight that I have acquired. Previously, I had, after reading the many positive reviews, already bought the 6W version, with which I am quite satisfied. I can connect the outpost essentially me regarding product characteristics, but would complement already still some: This lamp emits a Extem "warm white" light, and lights up while very bright, appreciated even brighter than a 60 watt light bulb. The latter could be due in part to the highly concentrated forward light output because the specified luminous flux of 600 lumens is more like 50 Watt tungsten. The color temperature, I'd rather at 2500 K (comparable to a 40 W bulb) value instead of the specified 2700K. In direct comparison with a 60 W bulb (which has approximately 2700 K), they seemed a bit reddish. To understand: light with a low color temperature is felt by most people, paradoxically, as warmer, provided as such with a high Kelvin number, the same brightness (eg, the sun, although a high color temperature, but it is not perceived as a cold due to their brightness and sensible heat, unlike, for example moonlight).

I would hope that LEDON also versions with 3000 K or more (about the color of a good halogen lamp), brings the same luminosity and efficiency on the market, what is in the winter months for a pleasantly bright and friendly, simultaneously yet cozy, living environment ensures, while on the other hand classic "warm white" or "Softtone" lamps in moderate light intensity rather a dreary, melancholy, convey impression (almost like a feeble low stratus weakened winter sun), which at a higher light intensity (eg, in a smaller room) turn into a uncomfortable "furnace" atmosphere turns. Therefore, I think so because the LEDON 10 W re-sell or give away (Christmas is not far off ...). But this is certainly a matter of taste and depends on the living room.

But who the classic melancholic "warm white" - loves or "Softtone" mood and a large living room, for example, with ceiling light or uplight has, where the light can be distributed well, and to a perceived color temperature does not interfere significantly below the specified 2700 Kelvin for which this lamp is just right. In a smaller room her "little sister" with 6-Watt is perhaps the better choice.

For reliability and durability, I can not say anything because of the yet relatively short useful life. However, the processing makes a very solid impression. The smooth heatsink like perhaps to encourage skepticism where other products are already using similar performance cooling fins with a greater surface area and thus better heat radiation. So far, however, I have not found any unusually strong warming. The lamp is hot, but not burning hot. Also no noise or odors should be noted, that technically operates the LEDON 10 W properly. For a lamp the product class "Softtone,> 600 lumens" quite a major product.

1. I have now the LED with a classic 60-watt bulb (Osram, matt; old stock) directly compared: The light colors are still more similar than initially thought, the LED's but considerably brighter (as I said, probably mainly due to the directivity) , Apparently I was too long "tungsten-abstinent", so I was surprised at how red and cloudy but the good old bulb. Nevertheless, the LED is still a small tick reddish. Perhaps this is due to the variation in quality mentioned in a recent review. But for use in a ceiling lamp with a red shade or red-accented establishment it is quite well suited. In a white screen it looks a bit too reddish.
