In Your Honor (Audio CD)

Customer Review

CD1
In Your Honor: After about 30 seconds long introduction an incredible guitar riff begins. Absolutely thrilling! Now you are right in the album there, yes Dave I can hear you !!! The powerful voice of Grohl thereby lays down on the guitars and after the memorable chorus uses the drums. In all variations Taylor Hawkins drums for opener and there is an incredible atmosphere. After the short break, it comes again to the final explosion. This song is a total of just staggering. The best song in the history of the Foo Fighters !!!
No Way Back: An up-tempo rock song of special quality. The second title of the album begins with rousing guitar sound. Daves fast and hard vocals, the song structure fits it perfectly and takes the climax in the chorus. This song has a real ear candy factor and will probably be a duty on the setlist at concerts!
Best Of You: The first single from the album initially acts only as an average song unfolds, however, after repeated listening. Unlike most of the other songs on the first CD Best Of You, however, begins rather calmly and sensitively. After the use of the instruments created by Dave's vocals and effects a great little rock mood. On the quiet Bridge again follows the catchy chorus before the song ends at the peak.
DOA: DOA is a classic rock song. A feel-good song for toe-tapping. While the verses still sound rather behave this song like many of the Foo Fighters developed only in the chorus. A good hit, which remains one in the head.
Light: This song can be difficult to classify due to the short length. It starts with an interesting reef. The vocal line is convincing and Taylor Hawkins drums in world-class style to it. Within two minutes, increases the song and then ends abruptly.
The Last Song: The Foo Fighters called The Last Song, an improved version of Breakout. Where you can actually agree. An up-tempo punk rock song that gets stuck in any case and is one of the firecrackers on the album. An impressive two voices chorus featuring The Last Song, the guitar sound is not to be despised. Extremely successful is also the junction of Bridge to the final chorus, making this song gets absolute hit potential.
Free Me: After the quiet start is already clear that there will soon be an explosion. Thereafter, the heaviest track of the album developed. Free Me can also wait until the chorus, where Dave Grohl then must shout the soul from the body. This song is a must on the rock record.
Resolve: Resolve is initially very difficult to classify because it is a not obvious at first listen. It starts very slowly and probably serves as a small respite before the finale of the album. In this position, Resolve gives then certainly a lot more sense. The most striking in this song is the end, that is very well designed.
The Deepest Blues Are Black: A quiet, empathetic entry into the penultimate song on the CD. Typical Foo, the song increases continuously up to the chorus, which as always will remain in the ear. The Bridge is convincing and creates the desired atmosphere. Towards the end of the song is still in two parts, and finished the song so well. The Deepest Blues Are Black also belongs to the bangers on the album.
End Over End: The final piece of In Your Honor is reminiscent in structure to the last song of the first plate. A guitar and Dave begin the song before it becomes a rock song. The chorus looks hard but still liquid and deployed immediately at the first hearing. The departure of the first CD thus is very difficult because this song just makes humor again to press the repeat button and let In Your Honor by running a second time. End Over End ends with the same guitar like In Your Honor begins. Thus, the album is perfectly rounded and will be what it should be: THE ALBUM FOR THE MAN UP Foo Fighters Remembered!

Still: The acoustic CD of "In Your Honor" begins as one would expect. A gentle guitar and Dave empathetic voice. Both the verses and the chorus are very melodic and beautiful. Gradually employ other instruments, thus creating a great song.
What If I Do ?: The second song of the CD has a beautiful melody and is one of the highlights on the acoustic CD. The vocals are a little stronger here than in the opener, but still the romantic atmosphere is maintained. Especially the chorus is catchy and makes What If I Do a real hit.
Miracle: Miracle starts compared to other acoustic songs quickly and quite suddenly. The guitar drives the song forward gently and Dave's voice gets the soulful mood that runs through almost the entire album. Even with Miracle the chorus is very well done, but Dave Grohl's gentle reputation is the most impressive thing about this song.
Another Round: This is the only song of the acoustic CD with which I can not do anything. The verses do not represent the guitar still the singing is something special, the chorus is a little better managed. Another Round is by no means a bad song, but compared with the other of the album, it can not keep up.
Friend Of A Friend: The fifth track on the CD is for 15 years old and comes from the Pocketwatch Demos. Nevertheless, it has lost none of its charm. Friend Of A Friend includes a beautiful guitar line and Daves matching vocals. A very soulful song that somehow reminds one of the people who have a self-important.
Over And Out: The most beautiful song on the CD! It starts with a very soulful guitar and singing calm. The verses are used to create the right atmosphere. When the drums chorus begins and the song is a little braver. The Bridge is the icing on the I and thus Over And Out is the climax of In Your Honor.
On The Mend: On The Mend begins with an interesting guitar riff. Daves vocals sound to very good, with verses and chorus does not stand out much from each other. This continues through the entire song. This is always the same atmosphere is maintained and On The Mend can convince.
Virginia Moon: This song is untypical for the Foo Fighters, since it sounds like jazz. It Norah Jones has a large share. The duet Jones Grohl know one hundred percent convincing. The gentle percussion, guitars and especially Norah Jones on piano make this song very exceptional. An absolute must on the acoustic CD.
Cold Day In The Sun: The song does not reveal immediately how it is run, only after about 15 seconds the most rocking acoustic piece developed. This song is used to loosen the now totally romantic mood. Here you can hear a very good song from the actual drummer Taylor Hawkins. On drums we hear while Dave Grohl. The role reversal Hawkins Grohl is in this song more than succeeded.
Razor: The end of the CD is characterized by the most awesome guitar riff. Josh Homme proves to be a true guitar god and Dave Grohl are with his singing to the usual. The chorus is very sensitive and beautiful. The Foo Fighters goodbye worthy of their acoustic CD. Thus, the album is perfectly rounded and will be what it should be: THE ALBUM FOR THE MAN UP Foo Fighters Remembered!
