Sorry, not available. I have to save Gotham City!

What we all had a fear whether Warner would manage not to mess Rocksteady's Batman. Then even the rumors came up that there should be a prequel and the other Justice League members would be one of the party ...

Maybe we were deliberately spooked so much fear, so that our expectations would not be too high and therefore we would not be too disappointed.
Overall the game seems to me anyway as if Warner themselves do not dare to create a reasonable Batman game, not under pressure from the special was upon them because of the magnificent predecessors ...

To make a long story short: you have not messed up. The game is just as much fun as the previous two, and subject them only in a few things, but mainly it is that it does not offer much new and has too many parallels to Asylum and City:

The Scarecrow scene

What Asylum was praised for the impact of Jonathan Cranes fear gas so eerily staged to have? It was creepy, new and exciting. In City Batman experienced the effects of his illness similar nightmares and I remember Jokers voice who smirked if that really is to the venom or Scarecrow would still floating around somewhere.
Stupidly, we thought this nightmare to use just as well in other antagonists sequences in this part. What I boring, uninspired and somehow weird place because it had stolen Scarecrow its particularity.

The Joker

Is on him, how have all been thinking, once again the main focus. I was really looking forward to Black Mask and hired by him hit man, but it was safe and let the popular Batman villain once again dominate the game.
But what I quickly forgive, because it has never been as crazy as in this part. He came dangerous, intelligent and psychopathic in front of me as in the previous games and the design of the younger Jokers, the developers more than successful, and the close-ups of him are a real eye-catcher.
And no, he's not my favorite Batman Böswicht :) but in this game he had to be there almost there.

Gotham City

The biggest disappointment. That apart from police and crooks not Gotham City citizens are on the streets has to necessarily explained by the fact that because of a blizzard warning all residents are asked to stay at home.
Therefore seem to be criminals and snipers move freely. That Gotham City is corrupt, we all know, but that is offered to you as much leeway I was then too unrealistic, it has tarnished me a little the game. This could have been solved much better, especially since at the time in the Batman criminal hunts not have to run around countless passersby and most stay on Christmas Eve anyway home.
So everything looks just like a slightly enlarged Arkham City with more guards.

The Bathöle

The war of words with Alfred there are worth alone that one has introduced it. Otherwise, however, it has hardly anything to offer. She looks pretty and can be accessed by her on an exercise program, which is nothing more than a further access to the campaign and the Challanges which otherwise can also select the menu.
The Batwing is handy to travel on from one area quickly into other districts, per se, but a bit unnecessary since you can unfortunately it did not even self control and the map is not so big that you can not slide came to its destination ,

The gadgets

The same with another name. The electric gloves are really nice and much better version of the electronic tools, than the previous out of play.

Control

As usual. Block with the triangle, slamming the square on the PS3 controller.

The graphics and design

I know myself so not really, but intuitively I liked it more this time. It does not engulf the others now, but the character design I liked.
The Joker looked like I said from ghastly beautiful and the Riddler resembled thanks to shave a little more of his comic version.

Fighting

Seemed to me somehow more difficult. Either deceiving me my memories or occur more frequently clashes with several people before who support them both with knives, weapons and huge, are equipped. New are also martial arts master, where you have to block all of two times to ward off a single attack.
Who deal with two three shortcuts must not worry :)
The boss fights seemed compared to the stakes between partially shockingly easy, although Killer Croc looks scary and among other Lady Shiva and Copperhead to dangerous assassins include the Black Mask has committed.

The side missions

I'm not done with all, but I had so far have been fun and have been wonderfully integrated into the main story. They act not as thrown, whatever it is, unfortunately, that some assassins appear only in such a side mission at all.
I was especially pleased that the aggregate objects will appear to have lessened the Riddler. About 400 pieces were just too much. I am in Arkham City compelled to solve all the puzzles, but I really had fun no more.

Annoying

Once you have used the quick travel feature jerky picture and increased incessantly. Restart the error is corrected, although again, but only until the next use of the Batwing.
It also happens to me sometimes that opponents get stuck in a wall, and I therefore have to start a fight again because they not get away and I can not attack or interrogate ...

The Story

It's funny to hear as Batman reacted to most of his opponents at the first meeting and in some scenes (SPOILER attempts as he rescues the Joker from the fall in the death, Batman's response to Jokers murders in the hotel or the interview in the Credit SPOILER END) was to explain why Bruce Wayne to Batman and it is touching to see how the relationship develops from Batman to Alfred or Commissioner Gordon.
Of course you can also just standing around again on a roof and listening to the witty conversations of criminals :)

CONCLUSION

But the story here is not quite what you had expected the captivating.
Since I had just as much fun as in Arkham Asylum and Arkham City also gets Origins of me 5 stars. It did not really new to offer, but also no deterioration and since I'm not annoyed or bored of that I think it would be unfair to evaluate this prequel worse than the other two.
Who, however, looked forward finally less visible from the Joker and has been looking forward to more variety, will be sadly disappointed.
