Sound handicrafts, various styles of music and idiosyncratic, special compositions mixed "Gotye" on his album "Making Mirrors".
The first single could not be better chosen. "Somebody That I Used to Know" is together with singer Kimbra The highlight of the album: catchy, radio-friendly yet very particularly, sonically perfect and super instrumented. A really beautiful song.

In addition, for me there is still highlights such as the beautiful "Save me" and the melancholy closing track "Bronte" the cheerful Motwon Revival "I Feel Better" and the electronic, studded with brass "In your light". Many samples can be heard in dub-reggae song "State of the art" and "Smoke and Mirrors" it will be more soulful.

Unfortunately I like the slightly rocky, very short "Easy way out" rather less, and in some songs I just do not have brilliant melodies, to remain permanently in the memory with me.

Overall, the album is without exception varied and full of songs that combine diverse styles such as Pop, Rock, Dub, Motown Soul, Electro and Folk. Every now and then I think of Sting or Peter Gabriel's voice, sometimes at 80 songs, but that's what has become its own, new and special.
