Nevertheless, he went back to the dealer for two reasons, which is an absolute no-go for me, even if one may not expect miracles for the price.
1. The artificial leather cover has the smell her even after two days aired on the balcony, an entire floor is stunken (and the headphones also smells very intense after).
2. The adjustment of the ear cups is transferred per a rough aluminum part, which is guided in a plastic part. In smaller aluminum locking points are there that do not rest properly because of this combination of materials already in the new state. The guide is in multiple adjustment certainly wear out even more (though am not a clairvoyant, but watch out for in the engineering lectures), and then I have no desire.
I spoke with the producer and me were the newer "Tesla" models recommended, which are high-quality processed Support vocally Beyerdynamic, and no smelly shell have (the problem with the strong-smelling leatherette cover acc. Beyerdynamic only a small part of DT880 concerns)
On the subject of sound a few more details:
I am very on analytic transparent sound with high detail resolution (ie z. B. with major orchestras or choirs großern the ability to distinguish individual voices or instruments).
The following items I have / I've owned
- AKG K1000: my personal reference for me favorite sound
- Sennheiser IE8: Good for rock / pop, beautiful heights, intense bass, but "washed out", voices of choirs roar and are no longer to keep them apart.
- Beyerdynamic DTX101iE Individual: lean in the bass and a little weak in the treble, requires, in my opinion, a tone control or equalizer level to breathe it a little more life. But then much better resolution than the more expensive Sennheiser IE8. Exceptionally comfortable in the Individual version with ear-fitting.
- Beyerdynamic DT880 250 ohm: Very nice, analytical tone, bissl thin in the bass range, but this does not bother me particularly (there is weakening of the K1000 also), review see above. (The DT880 I have returned)
- AKG K701: sound similar to DT880, but significantly less accurate, therefore suitable for my taste for rock / pop. (I have used the K701 sold)
- Sennheiser HD650: Sounds balanced, affords no major weaknesses, but can also not really very good, the wow factor is completely missing. Precision something between K701 and DT880. (The HD650 I needed sold)
UPDATE:
Hiss meantime I bought the Beyerdynamic Tesla T90. In brief: The absolute Hammer (aside times of the processing). Will write in the headphones in the coming days a review.
