Similar to Musee Mecanique expect the handset of this album multi instrumental, wide, epic soundscapes and dreamy, almost surreal harmonies. However, the tone is somber, solemn, elegiac than about in which (except the last track) comparatively lively and light-footed therefore coming "From Shores of Sleep", and the melodies are repetitive, perhaps even meditative. Titles like "Silent Prayer", or just digitally available Bonus Track "Why me, Lord" reinforce the partially almost sacred character. The singer may not be the greatest vocalist of indie folk history, but his smoky, reminiscent of Edward Sharpe / Alex Ebert's voice fits amazingly well with the arrangements and adds extra goosebumps. The music CD includes 9 pieces (7 songs plus two short instrumentals), which is best done by listening to the piece. The pièce de résistance "Darker Side of Sunshine" is right at the beginning.
