Delightful tales of the South American who loves his big, wide continent about everything and yet sees him with a laughing and a crying eye sometimes. Observed its people, with their sense of humor, their large and small shenanigans, its infinite pride and their equally great dignity it but not in the least not discourage, sometimes fünfe or seven men to be straight. Sepulveda's observation is wonderful, and anyone who knows America and its people will love the book because he recognizes others in each figure, because every little episode will remind him of his own experience. Stories that laugh a tear and let sometimes shed bitter tears also. Memories of displaced persons, a politically persecuted, of precisely this had to leave out of love for his homeland. And at the same time it is the story that again draws its circles, from Spain to Argentina, to Chile, to the sea, through the mountains and back to Spain. More than recommended. For me: a jewel, to read over and over again. Apropos: in Spanish not difficult and much, much more beautiful!
