First, I wanted to buy myself a 5.1 or 7.1 system to the sound of my TV (Sony Bravia KDL-55W805B) spice things up.
After looking around, however, turned out rather quickly that a good 5.1 / 7.1 system does not cost more than expected (of course there are also plants from 300, but since the money can then also direct light).
Then I came across the Sony HT-XT1 Soundbase and then I finally decided to do it last.
The reviews were good, the construction is quick and simple and can argue about the price.
Unfortunately, there was little problem with the CEC communication between television and sound base.
Problem was the right on the TV connected computer, which does not support CEC and thereby came to problems with the recognition.
Remedy has helped a CEC Less adapter, whereby the PIN is 13 and disabled, it is no longer about trying CEC with the computer to communicate.
The SoundBase is now running as it should and ARC also works wonderfully.
The remote control is used to, since they are not the typical has 0815 format, with time you get used to but it.
The sound is of course not compared with 5.1 / 7.1 systems, but for me enough and I can see a clear difference to the TV speakers. Especially when bass because you have more Bums now.
So if you want the sound of his TV improve something and looking for a quick and easy solution is to make do with the Sony HT-XT1 SoundBase nothing wrong.
