Unfortunately, there is a recess for a ribbon cable to the GPIO connector. If so has the housing for GPIO experiments remain open, the board nevertheless slip (rubber feet) is on the table and their safe handling is facilitated by the fact they remain firmly attached to the lower housing part. Because of these advantages the lack of access to GPIO here do not result in devaluation.
Incidentally, I have the transparent version (Raspberry Pi housing - ventilated, clear / transparent Plexiglas Case) elected - very chic.
