The 1.7L tin is good for flour suitable because one would nachstopfen in 1.4L cans. Also noodles and other large packs you get better under the 1.7L cans. A whole package of coffee or sugar fits perfectly into the 1.4L cans and cereal or rice come in mostly better under.
The only thing that bothers a little is that the doses are bad inside to dry, as for example the window transitions are a bit sharp and there are inside grooves. Thus, one should leave the cans prior to refilling dry a day on the air. Since that is the case in most other storage containers that are not in one piece, I take it from no point. It could only be avoided if the cans have a use without seam and no window. Reservoir of glass are of course better, but I decided against it because it is often the weight of thick glass underestimated and she drops quickly when you're careless.
