Thanks to its foldable lever at the bottom allows the panel mount quickly and without tools. The video pin provides additional fixation, provided that an additional hole on the camera is present. Who has no hole for the video pin on the device, should rather resort to another disk because the pin otherwise cause scratches on the bottom. On my standard tripod my camcorder and SLR sit bombproof.
