And again Slade album that significantly differs from the style of its predecessor. Unlike the highly polished predecessors Rogues Gallery (Rem. + Bonus Tracks) crashes's again quite well, everything looks a corner direct than its predecessor.
There are literally tons of Slade-typical short, crisp "Hau-top" songs, a nice ballad ("Still The Same") and one or the other more unusual for the typical Slade-style titles (eg " She's heavy "or" Oh La La in LA ") thereby resulting album.
The bonus material on the CD is nice sometimes, it is the "usual" Maxi versions and single B-sides here.
As a very special reducer i-Tupferl is still the title "You Boyz Make Big Noize" here. Here you can say: What a shame that this song was not always on the album here - just because it is an unusual for Slade title, but which is absolute peak.
But what stands out negatively in the gallery: it seems somehow totally torn and are not a closed, uniform image. The many tracks on the album are like carelessly thrown together ...
If you read the booklet of the CD is clear: 3 producers were involved, very little was recorded jointly by the group. The band was drifting apart on further. Too bad - it was not the great "farewell steam hammer".
Actually, only 3 out of 5 stars, but the bonus part, especially "You boyz ...." brings even the "extra point" and if you know what "Slade II" then brought to meaningless stuff on the market, the motto is:
YOU MAKE BIG BOYZ NOIZE
