The article is placed on the container that the crank-bezel fits in a corresponding recess in the container and therefore quite safe sitting.
The bottom of the container is provided with a silicone ring, so that the crusher is generally very safe.
To fill you open a metal flap which are the subject freely. The freezer works quite small at first glance, but this is deceptive. It fit about 12 ice cubes inside of the well-known ice cube bags, which can be described as sufficient.
Then to cover and serve up some Krubel.
The crank is quite long, which reduces the force required. For my taste, perhaps a bit too long (or the tank is not high enough), because you during cranking now and then comes to the tabletop. But that's not really a problem, since you can be prepared.
The grinder breaks the ice by means of staggered 'Knife' on a plastic block. The block is indeed from plastic, but that should not be a problem.
By breaking the ice a very pleasant for my purposes crushed ice is produced. There is no ice-snow but really only pieces.
After two fillings you have more than enough ice for two great Caipirinha's. That's OK.
To remove the ice crusher is a small shovel. So you can fill the jars well.
After a few uses, however, I realized that this very enclosed blade scratched the container upon removal of the ice.
Have the Crusher now maybe 10 times and the container looks at the place where you go in with the shovel from already totally scratched. That is really annoying! Actually, the Crusher mach visually a very nice impression, but I do not know what it looks like after a few months. The material used is definitely too soft.
For this reason, and because of it actually exaggerated price I give only 3 Stars.
Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the Crusher.
Note: I had once the Crusher Rondo. This provides the identical results as the Crusher of WMF, but at a third of the price. The only drawback: the shaft on which the blades sit seems to be a stainless steel. When the crusher but not used every day and always dries well, that should not matter.
