The score is the story! If you omit something or adds can arise from a different sense. David Garrett has understood this. He presents himself with all his skills to the service of the composer - and not the other way around! Yet he finds as "Reader" many opportunities to get involved themselves. This is what happened on this CD.
If David Garrett plays the violin, it was as if he opens a book and reads stories it, producing images and moods. He "reads" prepared, captivating, engaging, with a lot of skill, without "stuttering" :-) and with a lot of empathy for his audience.
This music is honest, made with all your heart and very authentic (I know the scores).
All actors (soloist, conductor, orchestra, sound engineer and producer) who masterly skill and "standing over it."
Not a single phrase, a single Tönchen is omitted or played indistinct.
The rhythms, the Drive get to the point, even in the slower parts where the importance is often undervalued.
The melodies are easily recognizable by thinking set priorities, clearly made music and repeats increases.
(Sings anyone here? You can almost understand the "text" ....)
Harmonies and changing are clearly and deliberately incorporated into the design.
Soloist and orchestra playing, in fact, together, provide further melodies, draw the bow rhythm together over long distances - which is not so easy!
Soloist, conductor and orchestra have agreed to pull together.
I say once: All music, because it's only once even incredibly fun and "want out" the music! If others want to listen - all the better! Only way to create music that reaches the audience.
As a bonus, there are still "picture stories" on DVD. Is cute and interesting for the audience, also like to look at the music, even good and entertaining cut.
One last tip: Quiet very often hear in order to learn the intricacies hear and can appreciate.
