For me, this album is not tired SOAD imprints and even if one or the other lack of innovativeness criticized: Clear remembers the sound of SOAD sometimes, but why not? Finally, Tankian has helped shape their sound critical and he is certainly not reinventing the wheel.
Nevertheless, an album on a very high level. I save individual reviews of the 12 songs that tastes are simply different - every song has its own flavor and is best in its own way. My personal favorites include "Empty Walls", "Saving us" and "Beethoven's Cunt".
The lyrics are partly politically sensitive (Empty Walls, Unthinking Majority), part one notices Tankian poetic vein.
The song is just great class and the piano is tonally enriching.
Enough blabbing, listen!
