Darkstar One is a symbiosis ('together swiped "by the term not be used) of stylistic devices of Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars (the latter especially just before the end and in the last mission - because I had to grin) and the computer game Freespace (sometimes design, gameplay and story are almost brazenly borrowed). So if you really like this series and games, the game is certainly absolutely love (like me). The game itself is understood as a kind of open-world space shooter, similar to Privateer or Freelancer, but plays much more entertaining and arcade excessive. That is the great strength of the game: It always happens something, idle times are practically zero. The main story is not alleroriginellste, but well thought out, and the mission design surprised every now and again with new challenges. The graphics are for their age really outstanding, especially the loving design of the universe with its ever varying light conditions and planetary formations. The German Synchro is mostly good. The main story captivates pleasantly long, nothing you sometimes just by playing one evening. The alien races are visionary, which some people might find a bit silly though. There are departures for something like the drawing board Terminal missions (which are usually 1: 1 repeat) and the two main characters rather superficial, although they are a sympathetic, but ultimately the act interchangeably and somewhat childlike or come across as naive. They are known, in principle, already complete, if you look only the image on the CD sleeve ... The difficulty I found pleasantly fair, nothing that a reasonably experienced space shooter player presents any frustrating moments. Overall, you can go wrong here for 5 (!) NOTHING.
