I've had some of these electric fly swatters, this is the most expensive and ineffektivste. The device looks great and comes in fancy packaging - but: A contact with a large insect (eg a housefly) regularly leads to an impressive flash and a bang, but apparently the poor creature is immediately transported to the afterlife but only stunned or injured, lying on the ground, often fidgets still flying and after a few seconds more. Sometimes it is also motionless, recovering all of a sudden unexpected again. I've only tried it with flies that can not stand so, do not want to know what do wasps after "waking up". You have the insect definitely immediately several times "nachschocken", which often leads to torture. I suspect the problem lies somehow in the relationship between voltage and current, that does not seem to be optimal here. Only fruit flies are really to kill immediately, but no one was able to do usually only. Moreover, the device also has no electroless security grid, which is present in some much cheaper devices.
Another, acquired at the same time much less expensive device is doing what I know of these things: The insect, a larger, retires quietly and immediately departed.
