Stylish, fast and large

With the HTC Desire 820 I have purchased a first HTC smartphone. Before that I had most Samsung and Nokia, while my two year old Samsung Galaxy S4 is still working very well, but I really wanted to have a phone with a good camera Selfie. The HTC Desire 820 has therefore been one of the top favorites. I bought the DUAL SIM version in White / Blue in Taiwan and confine the review this time only on the relevant points for most users (sorry Techniknerds, this time no detailed review).

POSITIVE
Usual + Beautiful slim design and extremely good workmanship as from HTC
+ Polycarbonate enclosure of a block, the blue color accents are burned and can not peel off
+ Front camera a dream, not only 8 MP resolution, but also many additional functions
+ Main Camera with 13 MP and F2.2 aperture good image quality even in the dark, also a lot of cool features such as Face merger
+ LCD screen with 5.5 inches 720p and perfect resolution, great color reproduction and viewing angle stable
+ HTC's stereo speakers are a bit too soft, but high for top unrivaled among smart phones, the sound from the 820
+ Telephony Features top, reception quality and acoustics in the green zone
+ 16GB ROM and 2GB RAM are absolutely ok for this price
Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 + Octa-Core 64-bit is very fast, there is absolutely no stuttering menu
+ Memory card expansion up to 128 GB possible unfortunately not self-evident as other manufacturers do it currently
+ Great delivery with headset, USB cable and charger, nowadays no longer be taken for granted
[+ Dual SIM in my version, in the English version, unfortunately, only single SIM, therefore in brackets]

NEGATIVE
- Unfortunately, of the 16 GB ROM gross are net gerademal 7 GB available, a very poor value
- Still Android 4.4, so the 64-bit capability of the processor can not be used. Waiting for the update ...
- Relatively heavy border around the screen around, the device could have been definitely make even more compact at 5.5 inches
- Battery can not be exchanged, maturity does not just a dream, since 2600 mAh are definitely too little for an HD display of this size
- No deprived Zoe functions in the camera available that remains apparently the One series
- Front and main camera deserved wide-angle lenses, especially the front camera for Selfies and Groufies

Overall, I am more than satisfied with the Desire 820, especially since I have the Dual SIM variant in which you can also specify what should be made with what SIM (similar to MediaTek powered dual SIM mobile phones). My rating is therefore unrestricted 5/5.
