This outdoor antenna I get despite critical reception conditions (behind hills and shielding homes and clinics) a good reception. Beeline to transmitter (Hannover) 40km. The antenna I mounted on the parapet (metallic) our loggia. With a good cable compression coupling led (squeezed) I the lead between the fixed balcony door sashes and frames for LCD TVs or the DVB-T receiver (TechniSat). For the rest: It's a strange "politics" of the operators that can be received digitally in the room and the private channels via DVB-T here, whereas they are only sent digitally encrypted in DVB-C (Cable). Can receive you here (without charge) analog only. Since, I have a second LCD TV with built-in DVB-T and DVB-C tuner (Philips 37PFL8404), so I have to - for digital reception - "only" the antenna feeds reposition the TV, great !!!
Attention: The Kathrein antenna does have a built-in amplifier (ie active), but requires a 5V power supply. In my receiver this required voltage via the antenna cable is supplied with the Philips LCD which is not the case (including Sony, Panasonic, among others, to my knowledge not). About Amazon or ebay but you can order external power supplies (under 10 euros), which are inserted between. If you want to avoid these "construction", which should equal an antenna buy with PSU, here Amazon has a good selection. After all, I still refer back to the good test results of Stiftung Warentest: Test winner here was the Kathrein-reviewed antenna.
