Secrets of the five pillars of Islam (Paperback)

Customer Review

This book is an incredible depth to who realizes that develops here Imam Abu Hamid shown Al-Ghazali.
It combines the spiritual depth here to scientific rigor. It thus covers the five pillars of Islam (profession of faith, prayer / salat, legal alms / zakah, fasting Ramadan and pilgrimage / Hajj) and a beautiful exegesis on Surah al Fatiha (the mother of the Book or also called "opening"; which "opens" the Book).
So he explains what the tawhid (Divine Oneness) and which contradicts (associationism - shirk), for better showing the origins and outcomes of the two (the Tawheed and Shirk) while citing examples concrete (eg, how Christians have fallen over time to deify and idolize an important creature named Jesus) and relevant analogies.
Each subject thus has two aspects: external approach doctrines and rites (theology, jurisprudence, personal hygiene and outdoor conventions to respect) and the inner dimension (spirituality, intentions, state of mind and inner decency).
All essential aspects of Tawheed are well developed subtle and profound manner, while warning us against external and internal sins vices. And mentions in this respect, the different categories of "Muslims" who walk on that path, while also evoking their qualities or the graces God grants them.
His style, his erudition, depth of mind and the fact that he himself experienced spiritual states he mentions in his book, can only effectively move towards the path of God and spiritual fulfillment!

As usual, his works never leave indifferent and always spring up in both a spiritual perspective than religious.
Apart from a few shells and typos, the book is excellent.
