Successful All-In-One Package

Well, 3 star so you can not leave; -) ...
Initially, this package is aimed at so "real" fans and collectors and not to the casual listener Elvis (which should indeed give it). Therefore, it is ever great to finally have the concerts 6 used including original CD and selected samples in a box and in fantastic quality gathered. If you want only a sonically improved TTWII CD, can indeed rely on the low-priced double CD, on a full concert of 12 August can be found.
Of course there were already to buy some of this box, but not so completely and in this quality. FTD has dismembered some concerts on multiple CDs. On Bootlegs although there is all concerts for some time completely (also on DVD. When will the last "official" ???), but about quality, prices and general availability you need, I think, not to be discussed.
All present here offer recordings Elvis on his absolute high and the fantastic sound and current quality (one can not emphasize this enough: -) ...). Concerts never sounded better and will probably also sound never looked better. When the tour was only just completed. Here one has given, as with the past legacy publications, really big trouble!
The sample CD includes many rarities that you previously had to look for scattered on various FTD releases or bootlegs. Here is also the first time in direct connection.
So (again at Legacy) Everything done right!
From the original CD I was never particularly thrilled me it was here only about the concerts. The bonus songs also represent a significant appreciation in the 1st CD.
Even the 80-page book (as the entire box in the LP format) has much to offer:
In addition to several great photos a lot of background information about the sample and recording sessions. So here also a great product!
If you take only those things one has 8 CDs for not even 14 per piece and a great companion book for free. I find more than fair!
The presentation is more than noble. The CDs stuck, like in the pictures shown, relatively safe in the packaging, the risk to scratch them when removing (as with other solid cardboard packaging, see the latest Led Zeppelin re-issues!) Is not here. Only the DVDs are a little spotty in a separate cardboard sheet, which acts somewhat carelessly.
In general, the DVDs are the only real point of criticism here. I have not even looked at me, but it seems as if they were the same, which are available as double-DVD since 2007 and no 10 costs. If you consider that the BluRay appear in 2 weeks, it's really quite pointless here already long known DVDs with reinzupacken! Which has anyway everyone! Or you should at least have the choice between DVDs, BluRay and "only" CD version. But well, so it is again 15 extra, as Elvis fan is you get used to far worse and without futility is what Sony and Elvis never.
Therefore, and for the reasons mentioned above, there is no penalty for it, but full marks for a (again) fantastic product from the Legacy series to really fair price!
While there are certainly a lot more material on this subject (like the footage mentioned above), but this can Sony then yes 2020 post on the 50th and again make checkout. One knows ...
Finally only the question arises, why Ernst J. and his FTD team do not manage to deliver such great products, but always have to build bullshit ...
