The cable of the G400s is extremely thin and not just acts of high quality. It looks as if it would break down after the first contact with the table knew as well as the cable reinforcement in the mouse is useless if the rest is just cheap.
The slightly rough surface like in which one or another be beneficial in sweaty hands, for me, this is unfortunately nothing, since my hand lying on the mouse should not slip. The beautiful blue rather kept dark gray-blue-something and not as nice as in the figure.
The mouse wheel is minimally lower than in the MX518, which has a negative effect for me, strange if you expect better, but worse gets. The DPI buttons are comparatively more difficult to press because they are too deep and I press with your fingertip already need to operate it.
Both side buttons are Haargenau in the same place as my comparison model and can be easily reached.
The keys for index and middle fingers are a little less ... well done. They act as if they were already longer in use. Again, the quality has remained on the track ...
The software of the MX518 goes directly to the G400s if you start with the new mouse, the settings will not be applied, but the menu is the same. That's the positive :-)
Seeking actually for a worthy replacement for my old mouse, if the next flight will end in the trash.
The G400s is one of many "trying" to me again to create a good and stable mouse for an extended period, but even this has unfortunately not managed to convince me.
A plus for the throwaway society, a minus for quality.
