Have the tripod long this had as a travel tripod for my Canon 400D. Especially on walks in gorges, which are well attended and it still has space for the construction of a "correct" stand neither the time, it has proven itself. Combining fixed focal length and Canon 400D carries it easily, a 70D with Tele however is already difficult, although this combination is far below the specified 3kg.
For amateur photographers who are traveling a lot, I think a good investment, but certainly not a substitute for a proper stand.
