The star trigger there that the new driver hpcups no printout Mode option as the former have hpijs driver. I have found no way to change saturation or color casts. The overall image is good, though a little tired to me and with a slight green tint. I can of course adjust the images before printing, so that both will be mitigated, but that should the printer driver. A test with the Windows driver showed exactly the same result, so that one can not blame the Linux driver.
Otherwise: the printer is larger and heavier than expected, but that's okay. Is printed at startup and to the first page, it is quite noisy and it takes a little. But that was during my last color laser so (Kyocera, three times, three times as heavy, three times as expensive, but not three times faster or quieter).
For the price and with the support of hplip the printer is in any case a recommendation for Linux.
