The battery has a much shorter duration than the original of Canon, but with the price difference of course that is not to be expected. But as an emergency reserve suitable since it unfortunately at the battery the exact state of charge can not be seen and after pointing the camera at half capacity very quickly the end is there, that is, the second "half" of the capacity is much shorter than the first. Even better it would be, CANON would not work with any model with different batteries: I have of my various IXUS models still good battery and we can not mutually help out with fresh batteries when the situation when in the family.
