Super APN I recommend to all amateur photographers who want quality in a relatively compact body.

- A total weight (box + 16-50 lens) against minimum 1kg 500g for an SLR

- The housing (without lens) is a compact size and with the 16-50 held in most jacket or jacket pocket but his true place is in hand that says :)

- Aps-c 16Mp sensor, no need for more pictures of Vacation / Travel: keep in mind that 100% viewing a photo 16Mp on a full hd screen 40 "tantamount to Poster 2.20mx 1.50m approximately WIDELY therefore sufficient for prints of public printers (10x15, A4) or computer, then look for 24 or see the 36Mp for holiday photos ...

- A choice of proper goals, zoom "adventurer" 18-200, the light 35 and E-mount 50mm through 16mm + wide angle converter there for just about every taste.
Adaptations of rings are available to use a very wide choice in the other frames (A Sony, Nikon, Canon etc ...) but I have not tested.

- We find most of the available settings on SLR, P, A, S, M, auto, panoramic, video ect ...
The buttons are programmable to have the minimum available: Mode A, aperture, ISO, center focus and go.
(Creative effects B & W, sepia, color filters ect ... and flash settings, exposure, speed, collimator ect ... are of course available)

- New hybrid very responsive autofocus (phase correlation + contrast detection), I can not compare it to the best reflex but it is very adequate for everyday use, the burst 10 im / s captures the perfect moment for a moving subject.

- Detachable flash is a controversial choice, I personally do not like the "violent" side that gives the flashes to photos, here I prefer to climb Iso even have a little digital noise but I keep the mood of the scene ! and once shot from 10x15 should really stick the nose on it to see the noise ...

A philosophy that fits well with this camera I find, is:

Better is there a 2kg SLR 3000 which leaves only rarely because too bulky, too heavy for the day or because they were too afraid to labîmer considering the price and so in the end it hardly ever serve ?
or
a hybrid of good light bill, relatively affordable and compact that you not hesitate to take every day with or without apprehension?
Which in addition provided some great pictures if only one delves into the world picture (search Flickr or 500px key words: Nex-5 to get an idea).

If you have the opportunity to compare a whole day with a Nex and a day with a classic SLR you will realize the difference in size and weight at the end of the day you will have made a good muscu session 'with the reflex at arm's length for 8 hours :)

For me the choice is made.

Also, to go from novice to amateur confirm this device is very convenient!

Competition in the hybrid variety has not persuaded me level designs, features, choice of goals but it's very personal for once.

I spend Nex-5N at Nex-5T so this one dare from Sony is successful! (For MON use "connoisseur")

I recommend very very strongly this device that is placed in the satisfaction of the general public wishing good pictures at good prices in a more compact and lightweight SLR camera that range.
