I run 2 of these plates in a Synology NAS DS213J system. I let the drives in Raid 1 run and am very satisfied. The hard drives running in the system whisper quiet, the temperature of the entire system is at any point in the range 32-38 degrees.
The access times are super (delay) the write and read speeds, I would describe as optimum in the above combination with Synology NAS and RAID 1. Braking is here only by the WLAN or LAN connection.
Normally you need a NAS no SSHD-plate, but I have it later, if necessary use in the PC decided on the basis of the minimum price difference and the possibility for the SSHD plate.
Advantage of a hybrid drive in the PC:
With this combination, one tries to combine the advantages of both technologies (SSD + HDD) together, which is reached in my opinion, also partly. The principle is quite simple, you have a flash memory (SSD) and a normal hard disk and uses the flash to frequently used files / programs temporarily.
The result is enormous access and launch times.
I am completely satisfied and will also replace by sshd on occasion my PC hard drives. And I'm going to put a starter plate and for large applications continue to "real" SSD.
