There was a time in which appeared a game and as long as it was successful, there was one or two years later, an addon. The older readers of this review may remember. Today there are DLCs. Whereby DLC can mean anything. There are quite cost-effective and fair DLCs that offer great additions and enhancements for a main game (see Borderlands). Mostly today but simply a piece removed from a game and subsequently sold separately. With Evolve seems unfortunately to be the case.
Those who have pre-ordered the game that gets the monster Behemoth in addition to the 3 existing base monsters. However, Behemoth will only appear in a few weeks / months. Those who want to get Behemoth later who pays a whopping 15 euros. 15 EURO !! In addition, dozens of skins for hunters and monsters in-game store to buy, also at hefty prices. To simply unlock the skins by progress here would clearly fairer variant was.
Here is another example of extremely customer-unfriendly behavior from major publishers.
To the pleasant part:
As for gameplay and atmosphere, Evolve is a winner in my eyes. The game is made technically sound and looks very pretty. The soundscape is great and the design of the characters like it very much.
Even the balancing is pretty good guess. I had initially feared that the game is about mass appeal and easy. The world needs in my eyes no more Call of Duty or titanium case. After about 20 hours of play, I can say that the game is quick to learn but hard to master. Especially as a monster you have to pretty flat out and the learning curve is quite steep. Those who prefer to play as hunters, who should definitely do together with friends. Only in the four team's game really interesting. A quick tactical agreement is virtually mandatory for defeating an experienced Monster Player.
The class system is well thought out and there is even the possibility of a character in different ways to play. The support robot Bucket eg can the Trapper eg but a bit of sniff work abnhemen also neat deal damage. Unlocking the other class variations and Perks is also quite motivating,
Conclusion:
Evolve is a great game in itself. Each match takes place different and there is plenty of room for tactical experiments. Team-work is imperative. As a monster you can have a lot of fun and if once benfalls no 4 people can come together to play in a team you reasonable imemr still working on his Monster tactics and play alone. The crappy DLC Politk will probably not change by protests of community, but most Inhlate are anyway only cosmetic and will not affect the game itself.
