Anyone reading the reviews here on this objective, will be possibly the tests viewed on Traumflieger. There, the lens performs at maximum aperture from very poor - wrongly. Unfortunately, Mr. Gross, the offer to repeat the test with my copy, not accepted. I have a copy of which (on the same sensor surface Aulösung double compared to the 5D Mark II) still reflects knotless even at maximum aperture to a 50D. And I belong to the pedantic Pixelpeepern. Of course it is dimmed even more sharply. It may also be that the 85er 1.8 sharp focus is just a tad bit better (I had so far not yet), but also with this 100 you can make open top photos. The Bokeh is just a dream. The claim that the 100 the purple fringing does not occur, I can not confirm. Possibly the effect the 85er more pronounced, but it also occurs in this 100.
All in all a top objective for the "tight budget" (what in Photography is always relative).
