Shortcoming:
- 12 layers of jeans really can now not sew with this machine, as the "foot" can not raise (could my vintage)
- It can be really only the plastic spools use. On the metal coils of thread hangs and breaks off.
- Reverse sewing possible if the needle is in the fabric only without problems.
- Free-arm, ie sew without "storage compartment" with sleeves: kibbelt machine.
- Starter pedal lightweight. You often have to "go fishing" during sewing foot after the pedal
Matter of interpretation whether pros or disadvantage:
The machine is very sensitive to material / needle selection. If you have chosen a wrong needle gets you the result by means of the seam delivered or the thread breaks. Sometimes even, the needle is bent.
Even sewing with standard needles with stretch fabric or jeans makes problems. Okay, maybe that's actually quite normal, but my vintage has since never demand.
In summary:
I got used quickly to the shortcomings and I arranged myself with the Super Jeans and I will cherish, so that it is nearly as old as my old man.
Delivery, packaging super. Since I have sewn some time and some needles have wrecked, I can not remember if the delivery was complete as indicated, but I mean to a needle everything was essential here, even some plastic coils too.
