So I bought the Mystique CaBiX-C2, because I wanted to receive only unencrypted digital television via cable (for encrypted programs can Mystique View CI interface module which can be bought). After installing the card, I installed the drivers and the included software (Mystique TV Player), which took place smoothly.
Since the complete channel scan seemed to take a long time, I got hold of the QAM ranges (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) my provider and was just looking for this specifically (QAM64 and QAM256). That went pretty fast and I had as a result more than 500 TV and radio programs.
The card provides normal digital programs an excellent image quality in HD-programs the focus is even better. Unfortunately, my PC (3.2 GHz, 3.0 GB RAM) breaks down in the HD programs in a short time. But a duo-core processor 2 GHz is required as a minimum for HD programming. But for me it's enough to look "normal" digital programs.
The Mystique TV Player lets nothing to be desired, everything was very well thought out and user friendly. EPG and Teletext are super and the creation of a favorites list is simple and clear. Very good filtering and grouping function is in the channels. This way you can hide all encrypted programs. It also helps the search function to find preset stations quickly. Switching from one station to another is done in seconds!
The recording feature is also OK, will be saved in .ts format. For the conversion to other formats (eg MPEG), there are several freeware programs on the Internet. Timeshifting is the Mystique TV Player not possible.
The Windows Media Center recognizes the card and tricks you can manage to adjust a few stations. As is known, however, support the Media Center currently no German channel lists.
Summary: Hardware and software make me happy.
