Have the drive now about 1 week (unfortunately shortly after Order 20, - Euro cheaper become :-(). And am very satisfied The speed via USB is great, on my laptop I can Firewire only with a 4 PIN use adapter, because USB is however more quickly. The only thing a little disturbing is the volume level at full load, as there are quieter plates, however, the drive will automatically switch during longer periods of rest in the silent Standyby mode. In shutdown, the disk turns off automatically, at run-up to, which I find extremely handy. The design is top, the processing at a high level. Of the Firewire 800 ports are even 2 yet! Overall recommended!
