The new ASUS X4GS is a top equipped notebook in my opinion. Bluray, USB 3.0, NVIDIA GeForce GT 550 and enough performance, which is more than unusually good for a 14 incher. I am also surprised at the fan noise, which is also very remained under control. The keyboard is also well done, icing would be a backlit keyboard for working in the dark have been a shame. Also annoying excessive equipment supplied to (and rather poorly programmed) ASUS software that provide the operating system slow down more than truly remarkable benefits. The expendable packages I therefore uninstalled the same. The ATK package should not be uninstalled, because about the volume control is done and otherwise no longer works. For sound quality I can say that he to me very clearly and for a notebook a little more powerful sounds like other notebooks, the agreement with Bang & Olufsen engineers has there possibly brought something. ;-)
Here the Windows own performance review of the notebook, what's really good values are:
Processor Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz: 6.9 Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB: 5.9 Graphics Intel (R) HD Graphics Family: 4.7 Graphics (Games) 1696 MB total available graphics memory: 6.6 Primary hard disk: 5.8
My personal Tops and flops of the notebook from ASUS:
+ Quiet and efficient cooling + Blu ray + USB 3.0 + NVIDIA graphics driver with good support + Great sound for a notebook
-The Absolutely annoying and ausbremsende ASUS software flooding -Something Small hard drive with only 500GB, while others have already 750GB -8GB Memory would have been the more appropriate choice in this equipment combination
