1. presence loud enough and in each sound direction (ie treble, mid and bass)
2. light enough to wear for long periods
3. to allow cable management side and plugged to an exchange
4 possible iPhone / touch control via headphone / line
5. Notes to the head without pressing however
A difficult task, because even in the presence of some models ultimately the appearance played a role, because who wants in Öffentlcihkeit already look like ET !?
Anticipation once Negative / Positivabgrenzunmg this handset:
Positives: - This 451er correspond point 1-5 almost all expectations - almost say that I had to accept compromises in point 1 and 5, but this certainly is also a question of price (for more details, below).
Negative: - Very long and thin cable, in which fear has to tear it quickly.
- From description does not indicate that you plug in the headphones not only "come from", but also has to turn,
I had as comparisons for Test 2 x IE (inEar) and 2 x OE (OnEar) at the start.
Because I'm actually declared Bose fan, there were also two Bose (ie IE and OE2i), and a B & W P5 and Sony iE MH1.
The latter product was determined the cheapest alternative, but it should be possible onEars cable with one-sided. In addition, the very heights of the SONY stressed were therefore already capable to refer him as the first headset of "race".
So on with the Bose inEar. Those looking for a few good inEars, is in good hands here - a rich sound, but unfortunately no usability for iPhone; In addition, some fumbling the handset in the ears "to-make fixed" - that's but managed to sit well and are for sporting activities just super useful, but also cable on both sides of the head! For the latter, I'm still me, these also need to.
Now for the preferred candidate of choice.
First, the most expensive, B & W P5. On the package is written "Concert for one". I can unreservedly confirm. Such warm and still "crunchy" basses that offer however enough room for brilliant highs and also warm, balanced mids, I had only heard in the right expensive HiFi range. And all because, operation in the cable, nice bag and auxiliary cables + 6.5 jack! If as the price would not .... and I also give to bedenken- the only "flat" fortuitous in the field, the aufliegt- flat on the ears almost one is inclined to speak of an open system, but after sitting and listening adopted you look ,. by the thought it can separate you among men and noises from the outside world ... -
But there were still two in the race.
So Bose OE2i: Also use and still impressed by the sound of the B & W Once fitted, comfortable to wear even here, but it is larger, while also supraaural, but a little further distanced as P5. A brilliant sound also expects the inclined users here. Almost Bose typical bass (not quite as pronounced as I remembered it!) Good highs and mids, but the overall sound could not reach even to the P5. In any case, he was also on the short list, especially since 100 below the P5.
Ultimately I veruchte then the AKG 451 and had no great expectations of a far below the price segment headphones, this time almost 100 among the BOSE. Perched and found that the comfort only once corresponds to the BOSE, plus the ease and small size. The sound surprised me now absolutely. Sure to miss also the "heat" of the P5, but the bass here even a bit of better, would say "round" than with BOSE. The centers worked initially a little spongy, the highs slightly too low. So once before they were voted out of office, played a bit with the settings on EQ. --- Behold ... I've never had "classic" or even "Electronic" set, but that started the sound round itself. Surely even a little bit of music material dependent, so whether pop, dance or even trance. I've heard all listeners with the same pieces of music and pure classical material except everything was there.
With a heavy heart I sorted once the BOSE out that it would certainly have been in a price by 50 less --- However, I could not say goodbye right from the, oh so expensive, B & W P5 and I decided again to ask my wife. Quite clear judgment on their part, the P5 !!! However, the price issue has also been the decisive, - "... why do you need the playing sports and in the field?" That's right, and so I then decided to use the very good sounding AKG, ....... and my wife for the P5 - :)) !!!
A note still; listeners have 5 star in price / performance deserved, but a bitter drop is yes but .... while still on the bike and while running the environment is already taken into account and if you can also hide the sounds of the environment (if you want !), the wind noise are not (although it is not always so windy as here on the coast) !!! In sports in the studio you have to damn careful with the (probably well-intentioned) oversized long and very thin cable deal ..... and very "sweaty" units they slip naturally something that may be but generally expected from these "ear-trailers" , All in all, at this price point my buy recommendation - and the fear they might, I can take any be too quiet ,,, the 32 Ohm provide decent power ... All in all, 4.5 star, which I unfortunately can not give here , - too bad, so then "only" 4 !!!
